The Government Alliance is an exclusive membership based advisory board within IEA designed for country delegations (comprised of heads of state, government officials, ministers, ambassadors and senior staff) to benefit from IEA’s Programs and events. Members of the Government Alliance will join IEA’s quality network of peer Alliance members made up of global leaders from business, government, finance and academia.

Because of the intricate nature of finding durable, equitable, and broadly-supported solutions to economic challenges, the Government Alliance provides its members with insights based on combined market research to help country representatives looking for ways to foster the growth of their economies and create jobs. Government Alliance Programs are practical, sensitive to time-constraints, and are designed to advance countries’ economic interests, introduce them to new opportunities, and establish bilateral ties.

Working with Harvard Professors and Alliance members, IEA has developed a unique interactive approach towards solving critical business issues, by bringing leaders together in conducive settings throughout the year via IEA Programs. Government Alliance members have year-round access to IEA's Programs, which include: innovative joint research, student outreach, and practical events, such as in-person, online, teleconference, or video meetings, the Global Technology Symposium and the Global Investment Symposium held during the opening of the UN General Assembly.

Members are invited to deliver keynote presentations on their respective country’s investment climate and its economic policies during aforementioned IEA events. The Government Alliance is a unique way for countries to highlight business opportunities and policy decisions, and present them to potential investors.
